I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist whose passion is helping people of all ages feel more confident and positive about food.
I am committed to empowering:
1) parents and caregivers to navigate the challenges of feeding children, increasing their confidence, and bolstering their enjoyment of eating as family.
2) children to explore and enjoy eating a variety of foods, while teaching them how food can help them in the classroom, on the sports field, or at home.
3) schools to expand their nutrition education, increasing the nutritional density of foods offered, and connecting lessons from the cafeteria to the classroom.
4) adults as they seek to adopt healthy lifestyles changes.

”I lucked-out finding and then being able to work with Abby Sykes as a Nutrition Consultant. Timing is everything, and she was just what I needed at this point in my life. I would highly recommend Abby to anyone! The process of working with her for three sessions during a six week period was extremely productive for me on many levels. A reliable professional, Abby was knowledgeable and full of valuable resource recommendations for my questions regarding food brands, ancient grains, protein bars, and anything else we discussed or emailed each other about, She gave me lots of helpful, well-targeted “assignments” as well. Abby’s common-sense approach to food was holistic, personal, and client-centered. With her warm and gentle style, she was able to help me begin to unravel a long, complicated journey with food. From meal-planning to meal-prepping to a myriad of other related areas, Abby met me where I was in my process, and then - with the help of some simple tools and information - helped guide me in a better, more appropriate nutritional direction. I have gained a better understanding of current food trends and have incorporated a more realistic set of guidelines and expectations moving forward. It is reassuring to know that I can always reach out to Abby as well."

"Hooray for Health is a hands on approach to helping students touch, taste, smell and learn about various healthy food choices. During these lessons the students also learn how eating healthy helps to keep our minds and bodies healthy. It’s a fun filled learning experience."
